In order to stabilize an axial gas laser, the pressure pulses from a gas circulation system (9) are damped, said system being connected to the laser excitation section (1b, 1c). Damping is effected by arranging, between the gas circulation system (9) and the excitation tube (1), the physical connections (E) in such a way that no frequency component of the gas circulation/gas current coincides at resonance points of the overall system. |
