To transport soil material for extracting gravel and sand for construction purposes through soil exchange, jetting pipes are used in conjuction with suction dredgers. To this end, pipelines are assembled from sections which are provided with flanges. Instead of joining the flanges with bolts as previously, 3-piece couplings are welded to the pipe periphery on either side, which couplings can be quickly closed past the flanges without interrupting the jetting operation. This is done by putting the pipeline end, to be attached in front, on a shaft into the catch bearing, provided on the other side, by means of a hydraulic dredger. It swings into the end position, in which the flanges bear against one another with a rubber seal, and the bolts provided on one side are pushed into lugs and secured with wedges.
