Optical switch

An optical switch having at least one optical input (E1) and at least two optical outputs (A1, A2) has a displaceable beam-deflector device (2), which exhibits at least one reflecting plane (3) and in one position is moved out of the optical path of a light beam, which enters through the input (E1) and extends to one of the two outputs (A2), and, in another position, deflects a light beam entering through the input (E1) onto an optical path to the other output (A1). The beam-deflecting device (2) is mounted displaceably in one direction which extends parallel to the reflecting plane (3, 4) of the beam-deflecting device (2) and is simultaneously orientated perpendicular to the light beam entering the switch through the input (E1) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
