PURPOSE:To attain stable display level adjustment by simple working by providing the titled device with the 2nd arithmetic circuit for calculating a difference between the output value of the 1st arithmetic circuit and a prescribed value corresponding to reference luminance and outputting the calculated value as an adjusting value and the 3rd arithmetic circuit for executing operation between the adjusting value stored in a storage circuit and the output value of the 1st arithmetic circuit. CONSTITUTION:The difference between the output value of the 1st arithmetic circuit 6 including a photometric value for the luminance of a subject as an arithmetic element and a prescribed value corresponding to the reference luminance is calculated by the 2nd arithmetic circuit 8 and the calculated value is outputted as an adjusting value. The adjusting value is stored in the storage circuit by an adjusting mode selecting means and the operation between the stored adjusting value and the output value of the 1st arithmetic circuit 6 is executed by the 3rd arithmetic circuit 12, so that an error based upon a photometric optical system or the like in the camera is canceled by the adjusting value and a stable output including no error can be obtained from the 3rd arithmetic circuit 12.
