The manhole cover receives, on the inner side, the switch cabinet and/or the pallet or the underground-cable sleeves. Its two axial bearing journals are fitted rotationally in the vertical bearing shells which are arranged in the recessed upper edge of the rectangular casing. The full-turn limitation of the manhole cover is always possible by means of the threaded prismatic stops inserted in the two planar corners of the rectangular casing, while its lock-type arresting flush with the upper edge is achieved, in a manner appropriate for functioning, by screwing the socket-head-shaped cover threaded bolts into the threaded prismatic stops. The lower edge of the rectangular casing, which has no base and is seated on the trench foundation base, exhibits the underground-cable protective-tubing cutouts in which the respective underground-cable protective tubings and their underground cables are mounted. According to the invention and in a manner appropriate for functioning, inter alia no path work and no hindering of people and vehicles takes place; it is invisible in the overall open road layout while providing optimum protection against all acts of force.
