PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic balance which is easy to read and use by varying the current display value only when a measured value is outside the range of a threshold value which is more different from the current display value between two kinds of threshold values on both sides of the current display value. CONSTITUTION:A display value determining means (d) provides two mutually different threshold values (Li-1 and Hi-1, Li and Hi,...) between mutually adjacent display numerals (Di-1 and Di and Di,...). The display value Di is varied only when the measured value P exceeds the range Li-1-Hi of threshold values which are more different from the current display value Di between two kinds of threshold values Li-1 or Hi-1 and Li or Hi on both sides of the display value D. The starting display value Di is displayed continuously up to the time when the measured value P exceeds Hi. When the measured value P exceeds Hi and the display value is varied once to Di+1, the Di+1 is displayed continuously until the measured value P decreases below Li and the display value becomes stable.
