PURPOSE:To form an ink preparing apparatus which is fitted for preparing ink suitable for ink-jet recording, writing utensils, etc. by a construction wherein, while the concentration of heavy-metal ions contained in a dye solution is controlled, the density of the heavy-metal ions in the ink prepared is determined so that the control of the properties thereof can be performed. CONSTITUTION:The density of heavy-metal ions in ink prepared in a preparation tank 1 is detected by a heavy-metal ion density detector 12. Based on the output of this detector, the final property control (lot control) of the prepared ink is conducted. The ink each component of which is prepared to be of a desired value is discharged through a discharge valve 13 as occasion calls. A heavy-metal ion density display 15-2 provided in a display section of an operating unit 15 displays the result of detection by the heavy-metal ion density detector 12. |
