A synergistic herbicidal composition comprising a mixture of an herbicidally effective amount of a thiolcarbamate as defined herein, an herbicidally effective amount of a benzamide as defined herein, and the agriculturally acceptable salts thereof, all admixed with an agriculturally acceptable carrier, diluent, or adjuvant therefor.
