A convertible table (10) is provided with a surface member (12) having a planar surface on one side and is supported at a desired height above a floor. The support surface is pivotally mounted and is rotatable through 180 deg.C. The support member is locked (48,56) in the desired position. A second surface (20) is formed on the surface member opposite the planar surface. Pref. the locking arrangement includes locking pins (56,94).
