PURPOSE:To control the development of bending moment due to eccentric load at the loading of a coil spring and consequently eliminate the wavy stress distribution per unit turn of a coil and improve the durability of the coil spring by a structure wherein an upper seat and a lower seat are arranged so as to be inclined to the axis of the coil spring in the direction so as to compress the swelling-out side in the bending of the outside coil diametral surface of the coil spring. CONSTITUTION:An upper seat 2 and a lower seat 3 are arranged so as to be inclined to the axis of a coil spring in order to compress the swelling-out side in the bending of the outside coil diametral surface of the coil spring considering the bending of the outside coil diametral surface due to the eccentric load applied to the coil spring 1. Consequently, the bending of the outside coil diametral surface is prevented from developing and at the same time the resultant wavy stress distribution can be eliminated. Accordingly, the stress can be reduced and the durability of the coil spring can be improved. |
