<p>Colour-adjustable cosmetic compsn. consists of a colourant (I), a binder, and a frangible microcapsule comprising a shell, an encapsulated liq. (II), and another colourant (III) different in colour to (I). Pref. compsns. have at least 50% pref. at least 70% esp. at least 90% by wt. of (III) encapsulated by the shell, and may opt. also contain a perfume carriers. Pref. capsules have average dia. 4-100 esp. 10-80 micron. Pref. compact face powders contain (by wt.) 2-25% binder, 20-75% (1), and 10-80% microcapsules. Pref. cream rouges contain 35-65% cream base, 15-50% (I), and 15-30% microcapsules. Pref. compact eye shadow contain 30-70% talc, 2-12% metal carboxylate, 2-10% binder (esp. waxes or lipids), 4-30% (I), 3-30% microcapsules, and opt. 0-12% of a white pigment (esp. TiO2). Pref. lipsticks contain 30-70% binder (esp. waxes or lipids), 15-40% solvent for the binder, 3-15% (I), and 3-15% microcapsules.</p> |
