1. A lock of the connecting rod type for doors, French windows or the like, with a cylinder lock (31) which can be turned by key, at least one connecting rod (2) carrying a bolt element (2a), held in its closed position by spring force and movable into its open position against the spring force by actuation of a lock sprocket (15), and locatable in this open position by an automatically engaging detent (5), and with a drive-transmitting gear mechanism (33-39, 41-43) between the cylinder lock (31) and the connecting rod (2), by way of which mechanism the connecting rod can also be moved into its open position by rotation of the cylinder lock (31), a coupling (40) for disengaging the drive connection being provided in the gear mechanism, characterised in that the coupling (40) is a clutch which can be engaged by separate actuation and which remains engaged, after a single operation of the actuating member (45), until the connecting rod (2) has reached its open position and then automatically disengages, and in that a separate actuating member (45) is provided on the door leaf for engaging the clutch. |
