<p>"METHODS AND REACTIVE COMPOSITIONS SUITABLE FOR THE CO LORINIETRIC DETERMINATION OF METALS" The present Patent Application refers to a formulation for a colorimetric reagent, suitable, among other applications, to the determination of ferric iron of serum. Such formulation consists of two aqueous solutions only, one of which, acting as chromogenic reagent, corsists of a buffer, a soluble salt of an alkali or alkaliearth metal, chromazurol S, a either cationic or non ionic surfactant, the other solution, acting as masking reagent, consisting of a complexing agent, and if desired of the same components of the chromogenic reagent, able to prevent the formation of the complex between the chromazurol, the surfactant and the iron. The complexing agent is generally consisting of a polycarboxylic organic acid and a salt of it.</p> |
