PURPOSE:To effectively drive a pile in narrow places by a method in which the inner rib of a steel tube piece is grasped by the chuck of a penetrator, the steel tube piece under the condition is set on a driving position from a temporary position, and the steel tube piece is driven into the ground while being connected additionally. CONSTITUTION:A vibro-penetrator 13 is moved on a steel tube piece 8 on a temporary position 9, and the chuck 16 is put into the piece 8 to grasp a rib 11. The penetrator 13 is lifted up and carried with the piece 8 to a driving position by means of a winch 15, and the piece 8 is put on and welded to a steel tube already driven. The penetrator 13 is operated to penetrate the pieces 8 by a given amount. By repeating these processes, the pile can be driven effectively even in a narrow place having limited heights.
