PURPOSE:To facilitate taking out paper sheets by constituting the stoppers which are installed onto the opened side of the gathering part for paper sheets and serves for engaging the edge surface of a paper sheet, in movable ways, and moving said stoppers when the gathered paper sheets are taken out. CONSTITUTION:In the geathering part 5 for paper sheets P3, a sheet of paper transported by a conveyor belt 33 is nipped and transported by a transport roller 34 and a pinch roller 35, and sent into a vane wheel 38 for tapping and a pinch roller 39 in rolling contact with the wave wheel 38 through guides 36 and 37, and fed into a receiving plate 31. With such constitution, a pair of stoppers 40 having an L-shaped form are installed onto the front surface side of the receiving plate 31, in turnable ways, through a hinge 41. Further, a pair of guide bodies 43 are arranged onto the upper surface side of the receiving plate 31, and one edge part of each guide body 43 is installed in turnable ways through each supporting shaft 44 at the front edge part of the receiving plate 31, and the other edge is engaged and held at the upper edge part of each stopper 40.
