PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of acceptance potential and development contrast and the like by dispersing a conductive metal powder into a resin in the presence of an abrasive powder and using this resin to form a conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:As the conductive metal powder, a metal smaller in work function than copper, such as aluminum, an alloy composed mainly of aluminum, zinc, or tin, is used, and as the resin, a hardenable resin nonreactive with said metal powder, such as an epoxy resin or a silicone resin, is used, and as the abrasive powder, alumina TiO2, boron carbide, silicon carbide, or the like is used. The conductive metal oxide powder, the resin, and the abrasive powder, a solvent, and the like are mixed in a prescribed proportion, and dispersed for a prescribed time in a sand mill or the like. A substrate of an aluminum sheet or the like is dipped into the obtained dispersion fluid and coated with it by the dip coating process and dried to prepare the conductive substrate, thus permitting deterioration of acceptance potential and development contrast to be prevented, partial defects to be removed, and the photosensitive body freed of surface roughness, white and black spots, and the like to be obtained. |
