PURPOSE:To take up the cables having different thickness in arrangement by driving a traverse shaft by controlling a servomotor on the basis of a specific correction signal and correctly driving a traverser in the pitch corresponding to the thickness of the taken-up cable. CONSTITUTION:The taking-up drum 2 of a hydraulic winch 1 is supported by a winch shaft 3, which is connected with a hydraulic motor 4 through a gear 9. A traverser 14 for guiding a cable 7 in the traverse direction is installed in front of the taking-up drum 2, and a servomotor 22 is connected with a traverser shaft 11 through a clutch 15 and a reduction gear 23. In this case, calculation is performed by using the signal proportional to each speed of the winch shaft 3 and the traverser 4 and the signal of a thickness selector, and a correction signal is generated. Said correction signal is added with the signal proportional to the speed of the winch shaft 3, and the servomotor 22 is controlled.
