PURPOSE:To uniformly apply a mold releasing agent to a fixing roller through a gap between a container and a groove, by fixing an applying member to a mold releasing agent container, and providing a minute groove along the longitudinal direction, extending from the inside of the container toward the surface of the fixing roller, on the surface of said member. CONSTITUTION:A rod-shaped applying member 25 of a metal or a resin is fitted and fixed through Si rubber 24 having an L-shaped section, to an opening part of the bottom part of a mold releasing agent container 19. A V-groove 26 having a circular arc-shaped side face is provided in the peripheral direction, extending over the overall length of the peripheral surface of the rod 25, and a gap 27 is made between the rod 25 and the Si rubber 24. Width W of the groove 26, its depth and its pitch are set to 10-20mum, 5-10mum, and 5-50mum, respectively, and at a room temperature, no mold releasing agent flows out of the inside of the container, and at the time a fixing roller 1 reaches a prescribed temperature, a viscosity of a mold releasing agent drops and it flows out. According to this constitution, the mold releasing agent can be applied uniformly,and the fixing roller drives the rod 25, therefore, a driving device of the rod is not required and a compact mold releasing agent applying device is obtained. |
