PURPOSE:To increase the bearing capacity of the foundation as well as correct unequal settlement of a building by a method in which a space is excavated between the downside of the foundation settled unequally and the ground, a thin bag is inserted into the space, and a fluid is injected into the bag and hardened. CONSTITUTION:A trench 5 is formed by excavating the ground below the base 3a of a foundation 3 unequally settled and a bag 10 of a hollow baggy soft material 11, e.g., of vinyl chloride or rubber, is inserted into the space. A connecting tube 20 is projectionally fixed to the side of the bag 10, a valve 21 is provided and connected with a pipe 22, and a fluid is injected under pressure into the bag 10 from a pump 24. By the bag 10 is expanded, compressing action is applied until the ground 4a having lowered bearing capacity can have a bearing capacity. Under a condition that the foundation 3 is pressed upwards by the settled height, the injection of the fluid is stopped, the valve 21 is closed, and the fluid so injected is solidified. Since the fluid is integrated with the base 3a to support the load of a building, the occurrence of resettlement can be prevented.
