PURPOSE:To attaint he clear judgement for paragraph candidates and the paragraph writing positions with spaces by displaying the KANJI (Chinese characters) strings and KANA (Japanese syllabary) character strings produced for each paragraph in a corresponding form and as the KANJI character strings with Japanese renderings. CONSTITUTION:When the KANA character strings are read into a KANA/ KANJI converting device 7 from a KANA character string input part 8, a paragraph separate writing part 9 retrieves a word dictionary 10 to write the paragraphs with spaces. While these paragraph candidates are produced by a paragraph candidate producing part 11. Here the KANA character strings corresponding to the paragraph candidates of KANJI strings are stored in a paragraph candidate store part 12 in response to the KANJI strings. A group of paragraph candidates undergone KANA/KANJI conversion are read out by a paragraph candidate output part 13. Then the KANJI strings are displayed with KANA at a paragraph candidate display part 4 and fixed by a paragraph candidate selecting part 3 and a paragraph candidate fixing part 5. When all paragraphs are fixed, these data are stored in a sentence store part 6 in a pair of KANJI strings and KANA character strings and for each paragraph.
