PURPOSE:To enhance the self-discharge characteristics of the battery in the caption so that its charged amount of electricity may be secured stably, by having amine contained in at least either one of surfaces of positive pole made of Ni-oxide electrode and negative pole made of hydrogen absorbing alloy electrode or in electrolytic liquid made from alkaline solution. CONSTITUTION:In a Ni-oxide/hydrogen secondary battery, amine is contained in at least either one of surfaces of positive pole, namely a Ni-oxide electrode and negative pole, mamely hydrogen absorbing alloy electrode, or in electrolytic liquid made from alkaline solution. Low grade fat series amine showing hydrophilic nature such as diethylamine, propylamine etc., or aromatic amine is used as such additive amine. Owing to the above method, the amount of charged electricity can be stably maintained for a long period as well as the self-discharge characteristics of the battery can be enhanced. |
