PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic properties of a powder molding magnet, such as coercive force, residual magnetic flux density, energy product, aspect ratio, magnetizing property, etc. by performing a specific treatment in a rare earth element cobalt intermetallic compound having specific weight ratio composition. CONSTITUTION:A rare earth element cobalt intermetallic compound having by wt% 22-28% of R (R is one or more types of rare earth elements), 2-10% of Cu, 6-35% of T (T is one or more of Fe, Ni, Mn and Cr), 0.5-6% of M (M is one or more of Zr, Ti, Hf, Nb, V and Ta) and the residue of Co as main content in composition is solubilized to be quickly cooled. Then, after heat treatments for cooling the compound from 750-950 deg.C to 700 deg.C or lower are repeated more than twice, it is pulverized, mixed with a binder, oriented in a magnetic field and molded. Thus, magnetic properties, such as coercive force, residual magnetic flux density, energy product, aspect ratio, magnetizing property, etc. are remarkably improved. |
