PURPOSE:A crosslinking agent is added to a coagulating substance of specific organic polymer containing an enzyme and allowed to react whereby immobilization and be readily effected without deactivation of the enzyme. CONSTITUTION:An enzyme such as alcohol oxidase is added to an aqueous solution of an organic polymer such as polyethylenimine, which becomes insoluble by the change of pH and reacts with a crosslinking agent, to form a solution. Then, the mixture is changed in its pH to insolubilize the organic polymer and simultaneously allow the polymer to cooling the enzyme. A crosslinking agent such as glutaraldehyde is added to the coagulated product to effect the crosslinking reaction. |
