PURPOSE:To attain to extend the life of a sensor and to miniaturize said sensor, by changing the quantity of light passing through an optical fiber by utilizing the resonant vibration of a vibration plate comprising bimorph type piezoelectric ceramic to which voltage to be measured is applied to detect the same. CONSTITUTION:When voltage Vin to be measured is applied to a vibration plate 1, the vibration plate 1 comprising bimorph type piezoelectric ceramic is subjected to resonant vibration in synchronous relation to the voltage to be measured. This vibration plate 1 performs the resonant vibration of a deflection width synchronous to the voltage to be measured regardless of the magnitude of the voltage to be measured. As the result of the up-and-down deflection of a light screening plate 4 with the resonant vibration of the vibration plate 1, the light transmission paths of input and output optical fibers 6, 7 are intermittently blocked and, therefore, the light detector provided to one end of the fiber 7 outputs a signal. This detection signal has relation such that the magnitude of voltage to be measured is inversely proportional to the pulse width of the detection signal. Therefore, by knowing the quantity of emitted light from the output signal of the light detector, not only the presence of the voltage to be measured but also the voltage value thereof can be detected. By this constitution, a small-sized sensor having long life is obtained.
|
