<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound in high purity at a low cost, by reacting an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid monoester compound with an isocyanate compound and dealcoholating the resultant unsaturated dicarboxylic acid amide ester at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula IV useful for the production of addition-type amide resin, etc., is produced economically at a low cost without using a dehydration agent, by (1) reacting a compound of formula I (D is bivalent organic group having at least one carbon-carbon double bond; R1 is univalent aliphatic group) with a compound of formula II (R2 is n-valent organic group containing at least one C atom) to obtain a compound of formula III and (2) dealcoholating the compound by heating at 20-150 deg.C preferably under a vacuum of about 10<-3>-10<-5>mmHg. The cyclization takes place by the above dealcoholation reaction in place of dehydration reaction requiring high energy. Accordingly, the cyclization can be easily carried out and the objective compound having high purity can be produced with reduced energy consumption.</p> |
