摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the operability by positioning the liquid crystal injection ports of each chamber on the same side face and shifting and providing them, respectively, making sponges in which each different liquid crystal has been impregnated abut on each injection port, pressing these sponges under a vacuum, and injecting simultaneously the different liquid crystals into each chamber by one process. CONSTITUTION:A double chamber type liquid crystal cell 1 is constituted of a cell 2 of the first chamber and a cell 3 of the second chamber, they are surrounded by a seal material 4, and also, the part between the cell 2 and 3 is divided by a seal material 5, so that they become an independent state. Subsequently, in order to inject the respective different liquid crystals into these cells 2, 3, separate injection ports 6, 7 are pierced on one surface, and a sponge 15 and 16 in which different liquid crystals 13, 14 have been impregnated are made to abut on said ports. That is to say, separate tanks 11, 12 are filled with the different liquid crystals 13, 14, the sponge 15 and 16 are immersed therein, the whole is made to form a vacuum state, and the sponge 15 and 16 are made to abut on the injection port 6 and 7, respectively. Thereafter, an inert gas such as nitrogen, etc. is put in gradually, and the liquid crystals in the sponges are made to invade the inside of the chamber 2 and 3, respectively.
