<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the error of coordinate position detection by detecting a floating capacity of a coordinate input panel, and using this capacity for correction at the coordinate position detection time. CONSTITUTION:A floating capacity detector of a coordinate position detector is provided with an input panel 1, an electrostatic capacity measuring circuit 2, and a floating capacity detecting circuit 3, and the floating capacity detecting circuit 3 has an input circuit 31, to which the electostatic capacity measured value from the measuring circuit 2 is inputted, and a memory 32 where this measured value is stored. A change rate calculating circuit 33 which calculates the difference (change rate) between preceding and current measured value at a certain time and a comparing circuit 35 which compares a reference change rate preliminarily recorded in a memory 34 with the calculated change rate are added. If the calculated change rate is deviated from reference data, the presence of the floating capacity is discriminated to output an output S3, and a floating capacity value Sx is used for correction at the coordinate position detection time.</p> |
