摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a small manual recorder capable of printing on the surface of a box, books, wall, etc. without delay of data transmission to a printing head by driving the printing head in response to a timing signal generated from a displacement detection device which detects ink ribbon consumption. CONSTITUTION:An external device to generate dot signal such as characters is actuated, and printing data is caused to stand by for transfer to a manual recorder, synchronized to a pulse from a displacement detection device, i.e. an encoder 2. Next, a printing head 1 is pressed to a part to be printed 10, and the subject recorder is manually moved to the left in the figure. Then a ribbon 3 is supplied from a ribbon reel A4 by a displacement equivalent to an amount of movement of the printing head 1. Following the movement of the ribbon 3, the ribbon reel A4 rotates, causing a roller 7 fitted closely to the former to rotate and a pulse to be transmitted to the external device from the encoder 2. The external device transfers printing data to the titled recorder in synchronization to the pulse. A printing head drive circuit causes an electric current to pass to each heating element on the printing head corresponding to the printing data. Thus a dot pattern is formed on the part to be printed 10.
