PURPOSE:To facilitate the NC data generation processing by using arrow keys or arrow key items to input the start-up direction. CONSTITUTION:A CAD/CAM system for progressive mold design consists of a processor 11a, a graphic display device 12, a tablet 13, a keyboard 14a, a large-capacity storage device 15 where NC information or the like is stored, etc. A menu table 13b is stuck to a tablet surface 13a of the tablet 13, and prescribed items written on this table 13b are picked up by a mouse 13c to input various items and data. Then, dies shapes DF1-DF3 are displayed on the display device, and a start point PS of wire cut working is set to a prescribed dies shape. An arrow key or the like on the keyboard 14a is depressed or an arrow key item on the menu table 13b is used to input the start-up direction, thus generating NC data.
