PURPOSE:To provide the surface of a tire with fine recesses and projections and prevent the slip of the tire even on a wet road of a frozen road by a method wherein sand is blasted by air against the half dried model of the tire to adhere it and a mold is prepared by the model to use it as an original mold. CONSTITUTION:The original model of a tire is made of clay and when the model is half dried, fine sand is blasted against the model by a fan or compressed air from a place apart from the model by several meters. A mold is prepared by the model, then, the surface of the mold is covered by the projections. The mold is incorporated into a molding machine, then, the material of the tire is supplied to the machine to heat, pressurize and vulcanize it. The tire, prepared in such a manner, is provided with a rough surface and the surface is not so slippy when it is wetted by water, therefore, stabilized effect may be expected even when the tire is made of comparatively hard rubber. |
