PURPOSE:To monitor easily, quickly, surely the transmission state by the titled equipment itself by utilizing a part of a member executing intrinsic functions of the equipment by only adding a monitor means. CONSTITUTION:When the line designation and the display command of the transmission state of the line are given from a keyboard 8, a control signal state display editing section 12 reads storage data of a line control signal storage section 11 at an intervals of prescribed time and the present state of a line control signal is edited as data in the unit of lines. A transmission/reception data display editing section 13 reads the content of a reception data buffer 6 or a transmission data buffer 7 at the end of transmission or reception with respect to the designated line and edits the result as display data in the unit of line. A display processing section 14 inputs the edited data of the edit sections 12, 13 and gives a prescribed display on a screen of a display device 15 to make edit control character codes such as transmission control character code or colon of DTR or DSR... adequate and to confirm easily the timing of data reception.
