PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of a superconducting field coil by providing a step on the side of a helium flowing hole of the through hole of an insulator arranged on the periphery of the coil. CONSTITUTION:The rotor of a superconductive rotary electric machine is composed of a coil mounting shaft 1 formed with slots, a superconducting field coil 5, a lower insulator 6a, a wedge 7, and a helium outer cylinder 8, a helium passage 10, and through holes 11a, 11b. In this case, a drilled step 12 is formed at the lower insulator 6a on the side opposed to the hole 10 of the through hole 11a to be formed in larger hole size than the hole 11a. Thus, since the step 12 is increased at an insulating distance, the occupying capacity in the slit 4 of the insulators 6a, 6b can be reduced. As a result, the capacity of a superconducting coil 5 can be increased. |
