PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution and space by covering a conductive material on the other surface of an optical fiber main body and using the said conductor as a power supply line. CONSTITUTION:An information transmission equipment consists of a main body device A as a master device, a slave device B and a line section C. Data communication between both the devices is applied by an optical fiber F. Then the optical fiber F consists of an optical fiber main body F, a metallic vapor deposition film vapor-deposited on the outer surface of the main body, a conductor member coated to the surface of the vapor deposition film and an insulation member coated on the surface of the conductor member. Thus, power is supplied to the slave device B from the master device A via the optical fiber F (f). Further, even when a crack is produced to the metallic vapor deposition film vapor-deposited to the optical fiber main body, the crack is covered by the conductive member coated at the outside. |
