PURPOSE:To attain the symbol transmission method by increasing Min(G(V<i>, V<j>)) under the condition that noise has correlation and deciding a symbol series set to provide the tree-less structure. CONSTITUTION:The transmission system receives r-bit data d1,k-dr,k (201) fetched at a time (k) in the unit of Baud interval as an input and when N-set of r-bit is received after N-Baud, a code word phase difference series vector V decided by the tree-less structure is generated. The 1st converter 204 applies linear conversion to a phase difference vector V<i> into a phase difference vector S<i>(205) for output. A DPSK modulator 206 outputs a sinusoidal wave having a phase of thetak=thetak-1+Sk<i> at a time K. The reception system outputs phik=yk-yk-1 to a phase detector 207 and a difference device 208 and the 2nd converter 210 converts it into a vector phi'(211). It is decoded by a Viterbi decoder 212 to output N-set of information bit (213) corresponding to the estimated vector V.
