PURPOSE:To enhance not only durability but also reaction efficiency, by forming a holder, which is filled with a reactive particulate performing the chemical reaction with a fluid while accompanying the absorption and release of heat, from a porous body made of ceramics. CONSTITUTION:A reactor 3 is constituted as a capsule packed tank by packing a cylindrical container 1 having a fluid supply port 11 at one end part thereof and a fluid lead-out port 12 at the other end thereof with a large number of reactive powder capsules 2 in order so that the center axis of each capsule 2 is extended along the same direction as the center axis of the container 1. Each reactive powder capsule 2 is formed as a hermetically closed body by packing a round pipe 21 as a particulate holder, which comprises a porous body made of ceramics obtained by sintering a fine silicon carbide powder, with a slaked lime powder P as a reactive particulate and subsequently fixing a lid 22 to both end parts of the round pipe 21. The void size of the round pipe 21 is made smaller than any particle size of a slaked lime powder to be produced. |
