PURPOSE:To obtain two-tone color coating effect in one coating, by preforming embossed parts to the surface of a substrate and applying paint to the surface of the substrate under pressure by a roll coater. CONSTITUTION:Desired embossed parts 2, 3 are preformed to the surface of a substrate 1, for example, in a brick pattern. When paint 5 is applied to the surface of the substrate by a roll coater 4 consisting of a paint sump roll 4b, a coating roll 4a and a lower roll 4c while pressure is applied to the surface side of the substrate 1, the paint 5 is squeezed out at the protruded parts 3 while the squeezed one is pushed in the recessed parts 2 in large quantities to be left and the coating thickness of each recessed part 2 is increased as compared with that of each protruded part 3 to generate the same effect as two-tone color coating.
