PURPOSE:To obtain an epoxy resin composition excellent in cracking resistance and low in molding deformation, by incorporating a copolymer obtained by reacting an alkenyl group-containing epoxy resin with a specified or ganopolysiloxane. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy resin composition containing a copolymer obtained by reacting an alkenyl group-containing epoxy resin with an organopolysiloxane of the formula (wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, 0.01<=a<=1, 1<=b<=3 and 0.1<=a+b<4). Said alkenyl group-containing epoxy resin can be obtained by epoxidizing an alkenyl group-containing phenolic resin with epichlorohydrin or by partially reacting an epoxy resin with 2- allylphenol or the like. The copolymer incorporated can be obtained by reacting, said alkenyl group-containing epoxy resin with a -SiH group-containing organo- polysiloxane of the formula by heating in the presence of, e.g., a platinum catalyst such as chloroplatinic acid.
