PURPOSE:To automatically sort dry laver without using labor, by providing not only a detector for feeding dry laver on a pass line to detect on the pass line a product having foreign matter adhered thereto and a product having inferior shape but also a means for discharging the inferior product from the pass line. CONSTITUTION:Dry laver B is moved on a pass line as shown by an arrow 1a using a feed line C. A foreign matter detector D is provided to the pass line and the dry laver B is passed between a pair of upper and lower detection rollers 30, 31 and the variation in the thickness of the dry laver B is detected by a photosensor 32 to judge the adhesion of foreign matter. When the adhesion of foreign matter is judged, a signal is inputted to a first ejector E from the photosensor 32. The rotary solenoid 35 of the ejector E is operated and a shutter 36 is inclined to block the direction of a belt 21 and the laver B is discharged from the pass line by rollers 38, 39. Further, a shape inferior product is discriminated by an optical shape detector 41 and, similarly, the dry laver B is discharged by a second ejector F. Therefore, the inferior dry laver product having foreign matter adhered thereto and an abnormal shape can be automatically discharged from the pass line without being missed. |
