PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately and simply detect the characteristics of a catalyst for preparing polyurethane, by measuring the progress state of the curing process of polyurethane. CONSTITUTION:Polyurethane proparing reaction is activated using urethane raw materials containing a catalyst for preparing polyurethane to allow curing reaction to progress. In this process, rotational sine wave strain or extensible and contractable sine wave strain is applied to a specimen from one end thereof and stress is detected from the other end of the specimen. From the amplitude and phase difference between both of them, the storage modulus of elasticity, loss modulus of elasticity and loss tangent of the specimen are calculated to detect the curing degree and flow characteristics of a polyurethane resin. by this method, the catalytic activity, temp.-sensitivity and the liquid flowability of the polyurethane resin of the catalyst for preparing polyurethane can be evaluated.
