<p>PURPOSE:To change the moving quantity of a cursor despite the same moving quantity of a mouse by using a magnification changing means and a variable amplifying means which changes the amplification factor of the value delivered from a moving amount detecting means in response to the output of the magnification changing means. CONSTITUTION:A switch 2 is provided at the upper face side of a box-shaped mouse main body 1 which is put on a pad 5 where the cross stripes are printed. While a pair of light transmission/reception windows 4 and a pressure sensor 6 are set on the lower face side of the body 1. Furthermore the body 1 contains a moving degree detecting circuit 7, a multiplication circuit 8 and an output interface 9. The circuit 7 receives the light beams P1 delivered from one of both windows 4 and reflected back from the cross stripes of the pad 5 through the other window 4 and detects the moving direction and degree of the mouse 1 to supply them to the circuit 8. The circuit 8 multiplies the relative coordinate value supplied to the sensor 6 from the circuit 7 by 1-3 times in response to the value of the pressure detecting signal. Thus it is possible to change the moving quantity of a cursor despite the same moving quantity of the mouse 1.</p> |
