PURPOSE:To produce a Co-Nb amorphous magnetic alloy foil having excellent soft magnetic characteristics, by injecting molten Co-Nb alloy, having the specified content of Nb on a circumferential face of a Cu-alloy cooling roll having not less than the specified ratio of the thermal conductivity at not less than the specified ratio of the peripheral speed for the roll. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal, containing 10-17atom% Nb is injected and cooled rapidly on the circumferential face of rotated by >=100m/sec for its peripheral speed. And, the roll used is to be >=2W/cm deg.C for its thermal conductivity. In this way, by rapid cooling method for the molten metal, the Co-Nb amorphous magnetic alloy foil having excellent soft magnetic characteristics is produced. |
