Microbial growth is measured continuosly by using the device consisting of a foam-removing device and a fluorometer equipped with a sensor cell. Thus, ultra-violet light of 360-370mm is applied to the growing cell, which is passed through the sensor cell via defoamer, and the refracted fluoroscent light is measured at 440- 460mm. The fluoroscent density is monitored using the potentiometer and plotted againt the microbial cell weight.
