The invention relates to a product serving for assembling various supports to be printed continuously, but manufactured independently of said support to be printed. This product shaped in the form of a tape thus makes it possible to assemble any type of support to be printed, whatever the shape and texture in question. It is composed of a continuous tape 1 divided over its entire length into two parts. One of these parts 2 covered with self-adhesive product is laid onto the edges of the supports to be printed; the other part 3, provided with holes to the standards compatible with the machines equipped with pin feeds, serves for driving the support to be printed. The separation of this new tape from its support to be printed takes place after printing either simply by a lateral pull or automatically at the exit of the printer by a separator device provided for this purpose. This product is intended for any system for the continuous printing of documents of various formats (A4 sheet, envelope, visiting card, etc.) and eliminates the marks inherent in the systems of the "Caroll" tape type and the difficulties encountered in the adjustment of so-called sheet-by-sheet systems. <IMAGE>
