PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a good quality of picture image, by winding vertical coils about at theta=30 deg. axes closer than the other parts when they are wound over a core. CONSTITUTION:After a vertical coil 12 is wound over a core 11 almost evenly, additional coils 131 and 132 are wound around the axes theta=30 deg., where the vertical axis is y and the angle in the circumference direction is theta from y, to make the parts into a coil distribution closer than the other axes. By the additional coils 131 and 132 wound additionally over the 30 deg. axes, the conventional vertical magnetic field shown in the broken line is formed to expand to the pin cushion magnetic field direction shown in the solid line near the 30 deg. axes. In this case, the intensity of the barrel magnetic field BxV in the horizontal x direction of the vertical magnetic field V at y=y0 (at a random surface) forms a curve 15 including weak portions 171 and 172 shown in the arrows. The winding area of the coils is preferable within 30 deg. + or -5 deg., and if it exceeds this area, YH and PQV are given a bad influence which is not desirable.
