PURPOSE:To improve the operability of graphic input by making the length and angle components of the inputted graphic correspond to respective coordinate input buttons arranged on a coordinate input device and copying the graphic at the depression of the buttons. CONSTITUTION:It is supposed that a straight line Q1-Q2 is newly drawn under the state a straight line P1-P2 has been already drawn. When the 1st point Q1 is specified and the coordinates of a point Q3 to be specified are inputted by a coordinate input button for indicating the copy of a length component, a pint Q2 is indicated as a determined value instead of the temporarily inputted point Q3 and the displayed straight line is Q1-Q2 started from the point Q1 and ended at the point Q2 with length (a). Thus, the coordinates obtained at the depression of the input button are converted into values stored in an area to obtain drawing data, so that a graphic corresponding to the required length and angle can be drawn.
