PURPOSE:To stabilize a welding quality and to reduce a labor by providing a table enabling a robot to move in the XY direction and by arranging the tank holding device having the chuck for automatically positioning the tank as well. CONSTITUTION:A robot 9 is set up on the table base 10 movable in XY direction via the rotation of the screw shaft 11 for Y axis and the screw shaft 13 for X axis. The trucks 7A, 7B supporting the chucks 6A, 6B which hold a main shell 1 are arranged corresponding to the robot 9. The positioning of the robot 9 is performed via the signals of the pulse encoders 15, 16 of respective screw shafts 11, 13 and the positioning of the main shell 1 is performed by a servomotor 8. Both the positioning in XY direction of the robot 9 and the positioning of the main shell 1 can be automated, so the welding can be automated on the whole. Consequently, the quality in welding is stabilized and the labor can be reduced.
