PURPOSE:To make a meshed erasure pattern inconspicuous and to obtain a smooth and natural image by providing pattern lines where respective light transmission parts of a pattern filter are arranged slantingly to the breadthwise direction and feed moving direction of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The pattern filter 14 has many light transmission parts 17 arranged regularly on constant pattern lines 18, which slant at 45 deg. to the lengthwise direction of the pattern filter 14 and the breadthwise direction of the photosensitive body. An electrostatic latent image is exposed to the meshed erasure pattern by the exposure system for the meshed erasure pattern. The pattern lines 18 of the meshed erasure pattern are formed at 45 deg. to horizontal lines and vertical lines and those slanting lines are not visually conspicuous as compared with horizontal lines and vertical lines in the image. |
