PURPOSE:To obtain a pint compsn. having an internal catalytic function, by incorporating a specified amount of a specified acid in a base resin having a functional group capable of reacting with a crosslinking agent in a state where a resin acid value is revealed, and combining the resulting resin compsn. with a crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION:A low temperature-curable paint resin compsn. having excellent resistance to weathering due to transmitted light consists of a resin having a functional group capable of reacting with a crosslinking agent, a resin acid value due to the carboxyl groups of tetrachlorophthalic acid of 2-8 and a resin acid value due to the sulfo groups of sulfophthalic acid of 0.5-5. The resin compsn. is blended with a crosslinking agent such as an aminoplast or an isocyanate compd. in a weight ratio of 95/5-45/55 on a solid basis to obtain a paint compsn.
