PURPOSE:To obtain a cast iron having minute spheroidal graphite structure and good mechanical properties by pouring molten iron having spheroidal graphite cast iron composition into a mold hardened by adding a binder to metallic powders or metallic grains having good thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION:The cast iron is produced by pouring the molten iron having spheriodal graphite cast iron composition, into the mold 1, which is hardened by blowing of CO2 gas after forming mixing of water glass with the powder of stainless steel. Further, as the occasion demands, the mixture of the metallic grains and zircon sands with the water glass is used in the mold 1, and in the casting, the pouring of the molten iron is executed under reducing pressure while sucking from outside of the mold. In this way, the spheroidal graphite cast iron having minute graphite structure and good mechanical properties is produced.
