PURPOSE:To shorten a die exchange time and to improve a productivity of bending by shifting a die holder supporting plural split dies to the side of a ram by an attaching and detaching device to exchange the split dies by an exchanging device. CONSTITUTION:The die holders 33F, 33R are positioned at the side of the ram 21 by the attaching and detaching devices 79F, 79R, the central split piece 91 is lifted upward by the attaching and detaching devices 155F, 155R. Then, the split pieces 95, 97, 93 exept the central split piece 91 are moved right and left by a die transfer devices 101F, 101R to lower the split piece 99 held by the attaching and detaching devices 127F, 127R to the die holders 33F, 33R, and the center split piece 91 is lowered to the die holders 33F, 33R. At this time, in case of exchanging the central split piece 91 the split piece 91 is exchanged for a required one between a die storing devices 157F, 157 and the attaching and detaching devices 155F, 155R to perform the exchanging.
